P&A Consulting Engineers is designing one of the largest and one of the first battery storage projects in NYC. A first of its kind, this project will take several mega-watts of power off the grid during peak usage times. The battery plant will charge during off peak hours and discharge during peak hours to lower demand usage and carbon footprint. Our office designed the electrical switchgear modifications and the battery distribution system. We also are also tasked with preparing Electrical Review Board drawings FDNY, Con Edison, and Rebate coordination. The project is intended to be completed in 2025.
